Public Advanced Modeling Course

Advanced public training courses on TreeAge Pro Healthcare are offered several times a year in the US and Europe, and in the Asia-Pacific region.

This year, it's coming to Tokyo in September!

This one-day training course provides hands-on instruction with advanced modeling and analysis techniques.

The course starts with a Markov patient simulation model with complex formulas using the treatment strategy, health state and prior events to determine values in the model. In Module 2, we build a Discrete Event Simulation (DES) model, adding non-fixed risk and background mortality. Module 3 covers Markov models with a dynamic cohort size to reflect both prevalence and incidence. Module 4 explores a parallel trials model which includes interaction among patients competing for a limited resource. Module 5 covers three topics – time reporting to generate a history of every step in each patient’s individual pathway; debugging techniques for reviewing internal model calculations; and subgroup analysis splitting a heterogeneous cohort into subgroups based on patient characteristics.
